Meet Chris Lissa...
BTC's Veterans Club President.
"Being an OEF/OIF Vet, and a member of the VFW post 1621, I feel that it is our reasonability to help out our community. As a student at Blackhawk Tech, I feel that I could help other veterans go back to school and to lead them in the understanding of what some of the new veterans benefits are. What the club offers me is a chance to do something good, to give back and help other veterans, and hopefully pass on some good advice gained from my experiences. The club also offers a bonding that only a Veteran can understand. I believe that this club can offer this, and also give to each other and the community. The Veterans club has a good start and the future is looking bright."

Meet John...
Former BTC's Veterans Club President and founding member.
"My membership in the Vets club brings about a sense of commitment. Being a Vietnam Vet, we are not known for our memberships in organization, but I felt that as a student at Blackhawk Tech, it would be beneficial to have a Veterans Club. I decided to make it happen and helped form the club. Since the club started, we've had our growth pains, like any other club, but the membership has grown from just a few. What the club offers me is a chance to do something good, to give back and help other veterans, and hopefully pass on some good advice gained from my experiences. The club also offers a bonding that only a Veteran can understand. The kind of bonding the comes from being under fire in hostile situations. Of knowing that you were doing something good for God and our Country. I blieve that this club can offer this, and also give to each other and the communnity. The Veterans club has a good start and the future is looking bright."
- John Gorski, Former Club President

Meet Clinton...
"The Veterans club has allowed me to meet and interact with other veterans from all branches of the military. It allows us to talk to each other about issues that concern veterans, both at the school and in the civilian world. One thing we would like to be able to do is ease the transition for returning service members, from military to students. We welcome all veterans, active, and reserve. We have also voted, agreeing to allow sposes of Vets, student or non, and children of veterans, who are students at BTC, be a part of the group."
- Clinton D. Stowers
